On April 24th, three Universal Music Group teams – Elias Audio Branding, UMPG’s Music for Advertising team, and Universal Music for Brands (UMGB) – joined forces to host a special evening with Jack Antonoff for executive clients at brands and agencies.
The event served to position Universal Music Group as individually the best-in-class branding, sync, and audio branding teams in the industry, with unique access to the greatest artists in the world – and as one unified team that can create a cohesive music strategy for any brand. By putting Jack Antonoff in front of clients, we could pitch him and Bleachers for licensing and brand opportunities and gain new business with top clients.
The event, hosted at Republic Studios in NYC, featured a Q&A with Jack and Jennifer Knoepfle (Head of US A&R) and was followed by a surprise listening session of unreleased music from Billie Eilish and Post Malone.
Two departments within UMPG – Elias Audio Branding (led by Brady Willis) and Music for Advertising (led by Tom Eaton), along with the UMGB team, entertained 30 executive clients (VP to CMO titles, with the support of Medialink) from companies including Verizon, ABinBev, L’Oreal, L’Oreal’s SkinCeuticals, JPMorgan Chase, Netflix, American Eagle, WPP, Droga5, Havas, Vaynermedia, YouTube, Le Truc, Carat and Choreograph. We received incredible feedback, and have set up several follow-up pitch meetings as a result.
Zoe Housman, VP Head of Marketing & Digital for SkinCeuticals, L’Oreal said:
“From someone that attends many events, I can assure that was one of the best I’ve been to recently! I loved how intimate, authentic and engaging it was –congratulations and you should be proud.”
